Question:

: If growling equates to being unhappy and wagging of tail equates to being happy, I am confused with my JRT.

: I have one male JRT (15mths), one female JRT (13mths) and the other dogs (they belong to my housemates)living under one roof.

: Recently, the male JRT has started to growl for apparently no reasons. Even while playing (note that his tail is wagging happily), he growls!

: And when he is being tickle on the belly, he growls. He is obviously enjoying himself while receiving attention from humans and yet he will still growl. What's wrong with him?

If you are certain he is hapy and having fun then it sounds to me that this may be his way of just talking to you.
