| Question: : What type of toys are suitable for JRs?
Anything that can't be destroyed in a nano-second. Forget about any of those soft rubbery toys. Hard rubber like Kongs are good, rope bones are good, tennis balls are always a favorite (I get real ones from the sporting goods section they seem to last a lot longer than the ones made for dogs) but be sure to get the ones with a very short nap otherwise your dog will try to denude them, buster cubes, stuffed (if your willing to watch them otherwise I don't give them unsupervised). And most important, don't buy anything geared towards the dog's size, these are mighty chewers so I always buy stuff geared for a bigger dog. This way their jaws can't so easily get around stuff and it takes longer to destroy haha! Regards, |
