My dog has degenerative cartilage at 10 Mths.

...and I know that there has to be something that I can do besides surgery. I put her on glueclosimine because the vet did not suggest it, so I called him back and got the prescription. WHAT WOULD YOU DO. I was planning on breeding this smart, beautiful and intellegent dog and now, with this, she will have to be neutered. YIKES....they said that she will eventually get arthritis that will cripple her without the surgery. But is it worth doing the surgery and having to fill her full of pain pills? I will do anything. I will pay anything....HELP!!!!
