getting a second jack russell?

Question:

I own a 6 year old male JR, like most male JR dogs he dosen't play well with any other male dogs. I do have a friend with a female JR, and she is the only dog that my male will play with. I am thinking about buying a female JR so my dog has someone to play with. Is this a good idea???
