Question:

: Our family will be going on vacation for 5 days. My friend will be staying over night in our home and taking care of our 5 Mth. old Lucy. We run a business out of our home, and I work approx. 2 -3 hours a day outside of the home. Lucy is in her crate no more than 2 hours everyday. My friend will be working her normal work schedule which will consist of Lucy being in her crate maybe 4-5 hours a day. Also, Lucy sleeps with us, and I dont expect my friend to offer her to sleep with her....(but I am sure she will)... Are there any pointers you can give me that I can relay to my friend that will help Lucy with the 5 day transition of missing us?
: P.S. Lucy won 1st prize for the most unusual trick at her last obedience class. She jumps through a hoop!!
: Thanks, Jeri

Response:

Try to keep things as routine as possible, this will help Lucy and your friend for the 5 days. Hopefully she want notice the extra hour or two in the crate but to help your friend out try working her up to that before you leave for vacation. Make sure her feeding times stay around the same also.
Thanks
Shannon
