Ear that falls back and off to the side

Hi I recently purchased a female Jack russell, her name is Maddi, today I noticed that her left ear is beginning to fall off to the back and to the side, so that when she is looking keenly at you you can see the pink inside of her ear. However, her right ear is a perfect "V shape". Neither of her parents displayed this trait , for that matter neither did she until today!!! She is only 7 weeks old is there anything I can do to encourage correctly positioned ears? Taping ? It is as though the cartiledge across the top of the ear is not as strong and is folding on itself.
