EXERCISING TO HARD?

My JKR is 5/6 years old, and I have started jogging and I take her (Geddy) and a ball along with me. There is only on stetch of road and the rest is along a caravan park and the beach. I jog approx. 2/3 miles and we play ball along the way. She is very tired when we finish, but seems very contented and settled for the evening. But what is concerning me is that whilst jogging along the stretch of road a man slowed down in his car and said that I was killing the dog if I carry on like that and I should be reported to the RSPCA. I am very stressed about his comments, and am very concerned that I am pushing my dog to hard. Very worried owner. Please help!
