: I have a six month old jack russell that barks constantly at night. This has just started, she is only relieved when I go and sit with her at night. I would love for her to just come to bed with me, but she gets overexcited and will not sleep in the bed, she thinks it's time to play when in deed it is time to sleep. Any sleeping or barking remedies would be appreciated . Thanks

Hi Valerie,
Normally when a dog is barking at night, it is because they don't get enough exercise during the day to make them sleep through the night.
If you are giving this dog the amount of exercise it needs during the day, she will sleep at night and not want to play. Also this is a breed that is bred to bark and they bark even more when they are bored.
