: I read the postings on this site almost every day and I've seen you recommend doggie daycare a number of times. My husband and I both work full time and our dog is alone during the day. We are fortunate that we are only 15 minutes from home so we take turns going home at lunch to walk him, but he's still alone the rest of the time. One thing that we do that has worked wonderfully for us is taking our dog to doggie daycare twice a week for a 1/2 day each time. It's half the cost of a full day, which is a good financial break, and he is still completely worn out - I'm talking asleep in the back seat by the time I pull out of the parking lot!! It also satisfies the need for socialization for our JRT, so that's a bonus. Two half days also seems like more of a break than one full day.
Thanks for posting this it may help someone else. I always say, A tired Jack Russell is a well behaved Jack Russell. |
