: My boy (9Mths neutered) has just started his advanced training. He was in with the big girls and boys and took to it like a duck to water.

: We are concentrating on his down stay as he needs more work on this but they have fun time where we hide a piece of hotdog sausage and they have to find it. He is learning sooo fast i am so proud of him. He has also learnt to roll over which is very cute.

: One quick question. My husband sometimes takes him to work ( he is a builder) he loves going out with his Dad and cannot wait to get in the van but when he is with him he barks at everyone and everything. He never does that when he is with me so I don't understand his behaviour. Why does he feel the need to protect his dad and not his mom.

Sounds like you are well on your way to having a happy, well-adjusted, most of the time obedient JRT! Congratulations!

It's hard to say why he is doing this behavior with your husband. Maybe it has something to do with the vehicle he's in, the areas he is going to, or it's just a "guy" thing lol! My guess it has more to do with excitement than protection and also the fact that YOU are the one going to school with him so he knows to behave himself with you and not with your husband :)
