chewing and licking when hot

When my 1 year old JR male gets hot he pants alot and drools, sometimes it looks like foam. He has had all his shots. He then starts licking anything in sight, like the deck, my ceramic floor, to chewing the bottom step of the deck, for hours. He is also very aggressive at night time. We can't walk into his room without him growling. He's never bit us. We try to ingore his behaviour. If anyone would have any info about this licking obbsession, I'd appreciate it.
