Russell Running Away

Question:

I have a 10 month old female JRT. This is my 2nd Jack and I am familiar with their personalities and the breed's traits.
Due to our location and home-based business, we tie Clancy. She is fine with this and never makes attempts to break loose. She is exercized regularly, and has another dog to play with here at home. We have done some basic obedience training with her, and she always comes when called in the house.
However, when Clancy is in the house, she has developed a habit of bolting outside as soon as a door is opened. She acts as though she can't hear us and runs away as fast as she can. Often times she will run loose for hours, as it is impossible for us to catch her. Eventually she comes home, or we bribe her with food.
She has come dangerously close to being hit by cars several times, and we don't know what to do to keep her from running. We try to keep her away from the doors, but this is not always easy.
Due to the layout of our property, fencing is impossible. We are now considering an electric shock collar to keep her close to home.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We don't want to loose our girl. Thanks for any help...
