Question:

: Our little girl was Spayed Thursday. She had been doing perfectly with housebreaking, no problems for past few months. Now she has been urinating and deficating in the house. Is this normal post surgery behavior? Will check with Vet Monday but wondering what other JRT owners have to say. She is now 6 months old & 9lbs.

: Thanks!

Response:

Hi Kent,
It isn't unusual for a pup to have a set back like this, for whatever the reason and untill she is a year old I don't consider them totally housebroken. I have noticed that sometimes mine will have accidents after spaying but by the time the stitches are out they are normally back to normal.

Don't forget that this is major surgery for her and I am sure that she doesn't feel as well as she should but soon she will be back to normal.

Hope this helps
Regards
Linda
