: I've had my Jack for about 2 months now. He's about 3 and a half months old. He's pretty much housebroken. He goes outside when he needs to do his business. The thing is, when people come over, he get excited and urinates all over the place. Also he urinates when I bend over to pet him, pick him up or put his leash on him. He almost looks scared. I don't want to punish him cause that would make him pee more. What can I do to make him stop urinating? Thanks.

Hi Bobby,

Your pup is doing what we call submissive/excitement urination. It's pretty common in a young pup and many will out grow it as they mature.

Some don't and you are wise not to punish him, because that will only make the problem worse.
