allergies

Question:

I am taking my male jrt to the vet tomorrow (he's 3). He's always had some pink on his belly and around his mouth, but lately it seems to be getting redder. It doesn't seem to bother him, but I wonder if he could be allergic to something and wondered what the common causes might be to jrt's. Thanks
