Question:

I have had dogs all my life, who where loving & well behaved, most were larger dogs. Before this dog(Taz), we had Max,my baby, a Rat Terrier who died of a brain seizure. Very much miss by everyone, including our 5 yr. old, female Mix Rotwieller. So I bought Taz from a Doc/nurse couple. Taz was 4 months, very active & given a full bill of health, all shots, etc... Right away he had some bad behavior with possessing & biting a person if you got anywhere near or reached for whatever he shouldn't have. About this time we noticed he was completely deaf. We took him to Vets., had him neutered & Private dog training, bought a dog pen, training tools, keep him on a leash in the house. Sometimes he'll be good for a few days/a week, then he'll bite someone. We try not to sneak up on him, so as not to suprise him. 3 weeks ago, he was being really good & I had been trying to get him use to being held & touched (like his paws or chest/neck)he can be alittle touchy about certain areas of his body, anyhow I was holding him on my lap, turn to look at the TV then at him & he bite me on the mouth, through the lip. Mom got the dog cage & threw him in, Mom wasn't quick enough to close the cage & lock it, so I blocked the opening with my hand & was bite again. We are very good to Taz & have love for him except when he bites, which happens off & on.His behavior is like Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Are there any suggestions that can help us with Taz? He fits his name to a T-TAZMAINIAN
