really wanting a dog

hi i took your compadable test as far as having a JRT. everything was fine except that my yard isn't fenced. i know that is a big problem and i would try to keep the dog on a leash most of the time. plus my parents do not like dogs but i am dying to have one i no they are expensive but i would work for the money and pay for the dog. i still think they would say no. i want to get it around christmas is that a good time? help!
