Crate

Question:

Hi I just put my Jack Russell in a crate for the first time with the door closed and he freaked out. Is this normal? He's 5 months old, I got him from the SPCA so I don't think he's been crated before, except for the night he was at the SPCA. Anyways just wanting to know if he'll learn to like it?
