Dear Audrey,

You're banging on the wrong door ! Even if all of us at the JRTCA Forum said, "Yes, go ahead and get a dog.", it still wouldn't solve your "problem". You don't live with us, you live with your parents, and keeping peace at home is partly your job, partly their job. How about this: show them how serious and dedicated you are about getting a dog by volunteering at your closest SPCA, Veterinarian, professional dog breeder, or a show kennel. You'll learn a lot, be around dogs, and maybe even start a career with dogs. By the way, Christmas is the WORST time to get a new dog, pup, or grown up.

Hang in there, and prove to your parents how responsible and eager you are to take charge of a dog. Best of luck, Carol
