What is safe for dog at home all day

I have a JRT that stays in doors.she had a dog door
that she can use to get out in a fenced in yard.But
she chews on an awful lot of rawhide to satify her
chewing so she will not tear up during the day. How
safe is rawhide and the amount she gets. She has it
all over the house and chews on every bit of it.Any
other ideas..She has bunched of toys but is bored with
all of them.
