| Question:
: ? We have 6 yo neutered male JRT "Butch", has problems with agressiveness. Are considering another dog, a Vizsla puppy, breed is like labs. Any thoughts on whether a male or female pup will be best? He has done well with Norwich male terrier cousins.
I highly recommend that you do not get another dog until you deal with Butch's problems with aggressiveness. While I appreciate that he's "done well" with his "cousins," this is not necessarily a true indication of future behavior...Butch doesn't live with the other terriers, does he? Give Butch, and yourselves, time to understand and work through the problem. I suggest you enroll yourselves in a training class where he can learn how to appropriately interact with other dogs...and you can learn to teach him to obey you. :-) Regards,
