Dear David,

Thanks for your question. Yes, this is perfectly normal. You may have 2 or more weeks before she is through this heat cycle. Take great care, after apparent signs are finished, that she does not meet up with an interested dog.

If you don't intend to breed her, (if she is not registered, and an excellently bred, great conformation bitch), please consider spaying. Its a great relief not to worry about accidental breedings, and the bother of heat cycles.

Your Vet is always a good source of detailed info about any health matter, concerning your JR.
