: Hello,

: We (husband and I) recently adopted four year old JR (Nipper)fom local SPCA (was surrendered due to aggression with family cat)...listens to sit, stay, no, roll over etc. does not bark much (is learning new noises?) hates the vacuum and stalks the bird (we do not leave the two alone) likes to sleep in either lap and is good when left alone....is this normal behavior?? seems to be too good to be true?

Dear Lynn,

Gosh, how could anyone give up a fabulous JRT like that? Its mind-boggling. How lucky you are, and how lucky is little Nipper? What a wonderful thing you've done!

So, you're waiting for the bottom to fall out, huh? Despite the fact that we hear most about JR's with behavior problems, nasty dispositions, bad habits and health problems, there are thousands out there, just like your Nipper, who are a delight in every way.

I say, don't rock the boat. He sounds secure and happy, and obviously you love the little guy. Keep him busy- and a million thanks for adopting him.
