| Question: : Is there antway to "Dig proof" a yard? I have a wooden privacy but my dog Max seems to dig under the fence in 10 seconds flat!
I'm a big fan of using hot wire in order to keep terriers inside the yard. The wire is strung about 6" above the ground (on the inside of the fencing). It effectively discourages dogs from digging out by delivering a quick electrical 'zap' to the offender. After getting zapped several times, my terriers stay well away from the fence. You can find more info on hot wires from American FarmWorks at: www.amfarmworks.com. I'm also including a link to info about 'invisible' fencing. While I know some owners swear by it, I'm one of those people who worry about other animals (especially loose dogs) coming into our yard. Hope this is helpful! Best, | |||
