Response to Digging

We had a problem with our JR digging under the fence, but only in certain spots. We used 1/2" hardware cloth that we purchased at a hardware store. We bent it into an L shape and placed it next to the fence over the hole. We used U shaped stakes to pin it to the ground, and stapled it to the fence. It works great for those small spots and the grass will grow up through it. We were able to train him not to dig under the fence (at least for now) and were able to remove all of the hardware cloth. If your little digger just likes to dig though, I agree that hotwire would be a better alternative. Hope this helps.
