| Question: : About a month ago my 7 year old male (named Schnitzel)developed a small bump on the right side of his body. This bump reminded me of a small pimple but has steadily grown. The dog doesn't appear to be in pain. He doesn't pick at it but licks it once in a while. Is this some type of cancerous growth? Is this normal and will it go away on its own? Any help is appreciated!
Older terriers often develop lumps and bumps; some go away on their own and some need to be removed. Since it is impossible to know the difference, Schnitzel's bump should definitely be examined by your vet. Because of the steady growth of the bump you've observed over the last month, I suggest you request an appointment with your vet as soon as possible. Good luck, |
