House breaking and doggie doors

Question:

We are going to crate train our new puppy, but we also have a doggie door. We would like the puppy to learn to use the door at will when she is not crated. Is this something she will "pick up" from our older dogs? The puppy is 10 weeks old. Is that too young to expect her to use the doggie door?
