| Question: : I am getting an 8wk old puppy on 1/02/03 and would like to find out at what age is best to begin training and where might be the best place to go. I am currently in Concord,Ca. and would like to start the pup as soon as it is recomended.
Congratulations on your pending new family member! Here at terrier.com, we believe in getting your pup enrolled as soon as it has had all of its shots. A puppy kindergarten would be the best way to start and then you can look to basic obedience after that. This is a breed that requires much socialization and obedience training in order for it to be a good companion animal. Check with your vet or a JRTCA State Rep in your area, or even the local shelter for the names of reputable training facilities. Regards, | |||
