crating

Question:

I'm planning on getting a Jack Russell Terrier soon and I've been wondedring if it is ok to put a JRT in our laundry room with the option of a crate in there while I am away at work. The reason I wanted to put him in seperate room is because I have another small dog and didn't want anything to happen between them while I'm away. I would only be gone for a few hours a day and the seperate room would give him a space to play in.
