Question:

: Tucker goes in to a fit trying to get to a passing car when we go for a walk. He likes to ride and doesn't bother a car that is setting in the yard. I try and short lease him when I see a car coming but there are times when I' m not quick enough and I have heart failure when it happens. Even on a short lease he still trys to get at the car with the fury of a viking in battle. I don't beat him but would like too at times. I hope some one can help or have an answer. Thanks Dan

Response:

Hi Dan,

I think the only solution to this problem is obedience classes. It IS possible to break this dangerous habit but but it will take trained professionals showing you how to do it. Time to learn to heel!

Obedience classes are readily available in just about every area of the country. You can locate them by contacting your vet, humane society or pet store. They are also frequently advertised in the newspaper.

Best,
Judy
