| Question: : 5 jrt's, Mom 5yrs (Anni), 4 puppies 13mths (Andie,Eddie,Mandi,Molli). Some pups eat my plants and selective other items. All recieve plenty of exercise as noted in prior questions. All already very well trained and have ample chew toys, rawhides (no plastics or fabrics). They are absolutly devious about eating these items since they know it is not allowed. They hide any remains that they don't eat. Is there a home made mix of some sort that would deter them? The only thing that seems to work is "stay off training aid" by hartz, but it is toxic to humans, animals and plants. HELP>
Puppy-proofing, supervision and containment are time-honored ways to keep terriers safe from their curious little selves. I realize that having only two eyes to keep track of 5 JRTS can be difficult (to say the least!); I hope you'll realize that if they truly knew what wasn't allowed, they wouldn't be doing it. :-) Please use our search engine to find tips for keeping pets out of both indoor/outdoor plants. As for whatever other items your terriers are getting into -- if it's within reach, then it's fair game. Unless you have the time/inclination to teach each of your 5 terriers to "leave it!" then I suggest you make sure that they don't have access to items they aren't supposed to chew. Good luck! |
