: Mia is 1 1/2 years old, we just brought home Libby (another JRT) who is 6 months. Mia has her nose seriously out of joint! The pup chases Mia, who runs and doesn't want to seem to warm up to her. Altho', Mia will sneak up behind the pup and take a sniff at her. Will Mia adjust and these two become friends or have we the beginnings of a real problem????

Hi Lora,

Well it very well could be the start of a real problem as same sex aggression is well documented with this breed.

We never recommend getting two terriers of the same sex, many people have done this only to end up either having to give one up or keeping them separated at all times. Neither choice a very fun option.

And if these two are still intact females, you are really begging for trouble.
