Question:

: Hi I hope you can help. A few years ago I got Wishbone from a newspaper ad advertising for Jack Russell pups. Now I heard that they're changing the name of The JRT to the Parson Russell Terrier, and the pudding jacks to Russell Terriers. Wish is 2 years old, 11 1/2 "- 12" tall, weighs almost 14 lbs. ( neither overweight or skinny) and is 2 inches longer than he is tall. Is he classified as a Parson Russell Terrier or a Russell Terrier ( formerly known as the pudding Jack.) To clarify things what type of Jack Russell Terrier is he?

Response:

On the Home Page of this site, there is an item you can click on "Is My Dog A Jack Russell Terrier". It will show you pictures and to-the-point discussion of the characteristics of various terrier breeds, as well as "Jack Russell" variants. Thanks for your question. C.P.
