Dear Danielle,

Thank you for not smacking Tali for her "biting." Physically punishing a pup for a behavior that is "normal" not only doesn't teach a pup the proper way to behave but also, in my opinion, borders on abuse.

Please review our Nipping/Biting FAQ to learn why a young pup uses it's mouth and tips on how to effectively change the behavior. As with any phase in a pup's life, the key to successful training is consistency and patience. I assure you that your dedication will pay off... :-)
