Question:

: Hi, My JRT is 3 years old. I love my dog very much and I am good to him, But we have a 10 month old baby and my dog is very jealous. He has snapped at my daughter a few times and constantly urinates in my home. I try to be patient and spend more time with him, but most of the time he ends up outside being dissaplined. I want to know how i can find him a good home with owners who will love him and give him the time and attention that he needs. He is so fun and sweet, and would be your buddy to the end. I need help, I don't know where to turn.

Response:

Hi Jenny,

This happens to lots of people when a new baby comes. It's always good to start getting the dog ready before the baby arrives because once the baby is there, it's just harder to deal with, especially for a new mother.

I am providing you some links that will include our recommended reading. There a a couple of books that might help you out. I urge you to get one of them.

And if none of this works for you, please contact the JRTCA Rescue Rep closest to you or the JRTCA State Rep if there is no rescue rep near you.

These people are there to help. They will either help to find ways for you to keep your terrier or will help place him if all else fails.

Regards,
Marie
