dominance behaviors

My dog has been displaying dominant behavior (humping?) towards me (his owner) lately. He is getting plenty of exercise from my husband and myself but I recently went out of town for a few days and he is constantly trying to grasp my leg now. I'm using a squirt bottle but don't know what else to do or why he's doing it
