How to keep Dad away from daughter :(

I have a 3 yr old male JRT and his daughter, who is almost 6 mths old. He has just recently (past couple of days) realized that she is female, and..well you can imagine the rest. I am trying to keep them separated and I am constantly monitoring them when they are together. I am not looking forward to having her spayed, although I know I am most likely going to have to. My vet told me not until she is at least 6 mths of age, and that won't be for another 2 weeks- any advice?? Thanks <*)))><
