"grazing" on grass

Hello - I walk my two JRT's, one male 6 months old and one female 9 months old, to a baseball field every other day or so...I have found that a baseball field is a great place to be able to let my dogs off their leashes to run around, because the whole field is completely fenced in - they love it! My question is, for the past couple of weeks, we go to the field and after 10 or 15 minutes of playing and running around, both of them will stop every few minutes and "graze" on grass. You would think they were miniture horses! I was under the impression that dogs only ate grass when they felt sick so they would vomit, but both of my dogs seem to truly enjoy the grass. Can this harm their digestive system? I can't tell how much grass they are actually swallowing, but at the ball field is the only place I have ever seen either one of them eat grass. Any ideas? Or are they just nutty JRT's ? Lol...
