Question:

: Hi!
: My JRT Dexter is 4 months old.
: He is very well behaved, however I am having troubles with him. He seems to bite me constantly. He does not bite my roomate, but he is very aggressive with my. I am the one who plays with him, walks him, feeds him, bathes him etc. He used to just curl up with me, but he always seems to want to bite. I am not sure if he is just playing or not. He absolutely LOVES children, but I am afraid to let him near any due to the biting. He has pretty much stopped biting the furniture but my arms and hands are always cut. Any help would be wonderful!
: Thanks

Response:

Hi Eric,

Are you playing "agressive" games with your pup? Games like tug and "hand games" can encourage your dog to bite. Does your roomate play differently with him or have a different attitude about what is and is not acceptable? Now would be a good time to enroll him in a beginner obedience class so he will learn to listen to you.

Best,
Sue
