Bad opinions

We have just bought our first JR pup - and are in love. My family owned one before, and I have friends that own them - I did my homework, researched it, and know FULL well what to expect. We own a farm, I plan to take all levels of obidence training, he comes to work with us - so I think we are well educated in the breed. BUT constantly as soon as people find out he's a JR we get negativity... you don't know what your up for, that crazy #%#$ breed are you stupid, good luck cuz your going to really need it. What do I say to these people, I tell them I've educated myself but that doesn't help. They've never owned the breed - have I been naive and gotten myself into something horrible???
