Well it shouldn't be too much of a problem at this stage, except you need to make sure the two aren't ever alone together and you much watch them like a hawk when they are together. A lab could inflict a lot of damage to a bothersome, irritating little puppy. As the JRT matures there can be trouble ahead, as this breed is well known for same sex aggression, which can happen even if the other dog is a different breed. This is why we always advise getting an opposite sex dog. It's just the general rule of thumb. People that own same sex dogs (I have two neutered male JRTs) go to great lengths to make sure their dogs are safe and watch for escalating aggression. Many people make the commitment to keeping both apart for life if the need arises. Regards, |
