Frustrated in finding new pup

Marie, thanks for your nice and positive response to me on May 6 regarding the loss of my Thomas. Since then I have been through every breeder listed in the JRTCA directory, and either the unborn litters are spoken for, there's nothing available, or it's not what I want. Is it really this hard to find a new pup? I DO NOT want a carbon copy of Thomas, just a face that melts my heart. Do the great markings always go first, or do people pick for other things? Is it advised to pick the breeding, then take a chance putting money down? Is there any other way to get a sound, beautiful dog? I'm just contacting anyone I can to get word out. Thanks in advance if you can give me direction. There is nothing at all here in KC except backyard breeders. You guys are great. Laura
