Jack Russell Story

My Jack Russell Story:

My parents, Pan Case and Curt Halferty, and I live in rural Ashland,a medium-sized town located in-between Jefferson City and Columbia. We live on a 200 acre farm about 7 miles from Ashland. We own three Jack Russell Terriers and have named them "The Jack Pack."

Clover was the first dog we owned. Clover is the dog who is the "go-to-ground" enthusiast who will go under ground whenever she has the chance.

Penny was the second dog we got and is the aloof dog who's train of thought is "affection would be nice, but you gotta come over here & give it to me." She is also mellow but will run off anytime and drag back a squirrel or opossum.

Rose is the third and is very ballistic. She will act as if she hasn't seen you for ages when you come home from outdoors or a trip upstairs.

Clover has been seen fishing, harassing many types of quarry and snoring. Clover will wade in the shallow area of water in a lake and wait for the fish to come to her and then dive her head under the water to try to catch a fish.

Penny today had a dead deer head twice her size and weight and was dragging it all around our yard, fighting off our 133 pound male chocolate Labrador.

Rose is the rather stupid dog of the three. She has the habit of running into things and chasing her tail until she falls down.

All the dogs have different personalties and all react differently to things. I hope the breed will continue on undisturbed and won't be ruined as many others were by the AKC.
