Question:

: : We have a 2yr old neutered male and we'd like to get a second JRT. If possible we'd like to get an older dog but if not, then a puppy. Will our JRT be too rough for the puppy or should they be kept apart until the puppy is older and stronger. The new dog would be a female and what kind of problems can we expect between the current dog and the new puppy/older dog.

: : Thanks

: Try adopting a dog from Russell Rescue. The Russell Rescue Rep. will work with you in finding the right dog as there are plenty out there searching for a home.

Shannon is right! There are so many great dogs in rescue all the time, who aren't given up for REAL problem behavior, but rather, just because the people didn't prepare themselves for what life with a Jack Russell could be like. By all means, I hope you contact Russell Rescue. They'll help you decide if another terrier is right for you, too! Try the profiler, as well Jack Russell Profiler
