Question:

: My daughter (18) wants to adopt a puppy, but she is allergic to cats, and to some dogs (the ones that shed a lot) but not to others. Our last dog was a mini schnauzer; there was no allergy problem. I know JRT shed some, but can you give me any clue as to how much or whether they are a problem for allergy sufferers?

Hi Margaret,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this isn't a breed for people with allergies. Jack Russell shed alot and smooth coated terriers shed the most being 24/7.

Most of us who have these dogs, have resigned oursleves never to wear black, and have gotten used to little white hairs everywhere. Sorry I don't have better news but this isn't a non sheding breed and in fact they are some of the worst.
Regards
Linda
