Question:

: About a week ago I found a tick on my JRT. I burnt it off him with a hot set of tweezers. Just today, I found my JRT limping pretty badly. His right paw was very sensitive and he was whining badly about it. Someone told me that it is a symptom of lyme disease. Is that true? How soon do I need to get him to a vet? Thanks.

Mike,
The best thing to do is take your dog to the Vet and have him checked, ASAP. You may have done more damage by removing the tick improperly. Also while you are there have your Vet show you the best way to remove a tick and ask about Frontline! With Frontline you won't have to worry about removing ticks, they just fall off!

Linda
