: I also would like to respond to the question regarding the crating of adult dogs - only bad owners do this. To me crating your dog tells me you are a Very Responsible Owner!! We do this for the safety and well being of our beloved Jacks. Who wants to come home and find their dog hanging from the mini blind cord? Because he heard someone/something in his yard or going down the street. I would be devastated and be on a gigantatic guilt trip for the rest of my life!
: I'm sorry, but responsible owners crate their adult dogs.

Thanks Susie,
Yes I think you hit the nail on the head, I also crate to keep my dogs safe and I have a long line of distructo's!! Personally I would like to come home and find I still have a sofa, carpet, and walls. I have found in the last 18 years, that Jack Russells when left to their own devices always find something to get into! I guess you can sum it up by saying Expect the unexpected!!
Better to be safe than sorry and I will continue crating when I am away!
