Question:

: I recently bought a JRT which is white with fawn markings. Except for the markings, she seems a perfect specimen. Both the parents as well as the rest of her siblings are tan and white. Can this markings be acceptable for a JRT?

Response:

Hi Ina,
The JRTCA considers all shade of Tan/brown acceptable as long as they are 51% white. I suggest that you check with the Jack Russell club in your area to see what they condsider correct. I have some that are the darker/redish tan and some that I would consider lemon or light tan in color.

Without seeing the dog it is hard to tell and you may want to contact our club office directly and ask.

JRTCA Breed Standard, Contact the JRTCA
Hope this helps you some
Regards
Linda
